Stephen Murray, MD PhD

Stephen Murray is a consultant clinician and scientist with extensive experience in drug development. From 2016 until 2021 he led the Strategy and Innovation team at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. 

Prior to Mallinckrodt, Dr. Murray held senior roles in large pharma and biotech including Senior Medical Officer at the TB Alliance, Chief Medical Officer of Memory Pharmaceuticals, and Senior Medical Director at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. 

Dr. Murray completed his clinical training and a research fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco. He received a BS from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, and both his MD and PhD from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
